...looks happy and wags tail-? Why does my dog whine when she chews on her bone or a treat we give her? She looks happy and wags her tail and runs around but still makes little sounds like shes crying lol. I know she isn't in pain when chewing cause she loves chew toys and never whines over them only food type things. Any one know why?

My dog does this when I give her something to chew on. She wanders around and whines for a bit. I think she's looking for a place to chew it or to hide it. Eventually she just lays down with it.

I would say your dog is talking to you. It's saying thank you for the treat or chew toy. I have a dog who does that whenever she is excited or happy.

The bone is harder than most chew toys, and dogs chew them harder. She could have a painful tooth.
