Should I Give my dog a bath after swimming in the pool?

Well, when my and my family go for a swim, we let our 2 year old female Chihuahua go in the pool. She's very good at swimming.
We put chlorine tablets (which then dissolve) into the pool.

So after swimming, is it advised to give her a bath (with shampoo) or just wash her down with tap water? Because I don't wanna shampoo her every once a week...

You can just rinse her off and she'll be fine.
But be sure to clean out her ears, as too much chlorine will give her ear infections.

You definitely need to give your dog a bath because the pool water has lots of harmful chemicals (harmful for the dog who will licks its furs), if you don't want to shampoo her every week, at least wash her down with soap and tap water. There are out there special soaps and shampoos for dogs that won't cause allergies nor dry out their skin. Read the labels before you buy these products.

He doesn't need a whole bath, but rinsing him off will get the chemicals off his skin. You can use conditioner if you want to do that--will help remoisturize her skin and coat.

You should wash your dog or just hose her down just to get rid of the chemicals that are in the swimming pool just to be on the safe side
