PLEASE HELP! Best solution for my son's allergies to our new puppy? we can't...

...give the dog away =(.? hi, can anyone please help me find the best solution for my son's allergies? he's been having an itchy throat, runny nose and itchy eyes. he's been going to sick everyday and it's horrible. we can't give the puppy away because my 3 other kids adore him and it was a christmas gift from my eldest daughter in college.

i know that obama's daughter has dog allergies but they're still getting the dog because they know how to deal with her allergies.

any suggestions? i think he's built immunity to claritin and he doesnt want to get the monthly shot from the doctor. i was thinking possibly zyrtec but i don't know if itll work and its so expensive....any suggestions, what works best to help my son with his allergies?

how does a labradoodle have less allergens? they have a lot of hair, and it's only making 1 of my sons sick (allergies), my 4 other kids adore the dog and would die if i gave the dog away. im not asking for your criticism but advice regarding allergies, so if u have nothing good to say its best to keep your mouth shut-thanks a lot.
