how to give dogs proper exercise?

we have 2 dogs, a hyper golden retriever and a 13 year old lazy beagle. they are strictly outside dogs, and have always been so, but ever since we've moved from a typical suburban neighborhood, where i could take them on walks everywhere, to the middle of the woods with no area to exercise. we're working on getting fencing up, so the dogs are limited to the 50 foot walk line for now.. for present and future reference, how would you suggest i give them the ability to be more active?
