Wife wants me to give up chow chow puppy. What can i do n at least get back...

...some money spent? I spent 600 dollars to purchase this puppy and even more for vaccines and items the puppy needs like a crate,leash,collar and grooming items.I know i will never get back the money and i really love my puppy.Is there a way to give it up to someone interested who is willing to pay a fee and will love this puppy?please help i am heart broken and confused.It is a purebred chow chow,female and it's cream.The puppy is about 13 weeks old.
She's almost completely house trained but has a few accidents(pee) only sometimes.She wants the dog out because it sometimes chews on the rug and blinds.I have no choice but to give this puppy up because my wife just doesn't want to deal with it anymore.If i can find someone interested i will give the puppy away with everything i bought for her including her crate and vaccines she need for a few more months.I have the akc registration papers from the breeder.
Someone please help me out here.
If i can get a reasonable offer like 500 dollars or more i don't mind driving any where in the country to drop this puppy off.I don't think dogs belong in the shelters and for all what the puppy comes with i think the fee is reasonable.
I really love my wife,seriously i do but sometimes i think marriage sucks.I live in northern Alabama,Huntsville area.
I contacted the breeder and she won't take the puppy back.She says it's my problem.I had discussed this with my wife i must admit it took some convincing on part but she accepted to it and we both researched the best breeds for an apartment and she saw the chow puppy and fell in love with it.I am still trying the best to make her feel comfortable about the puppy and help in the training process but that does not seem to work.
She complains the house can never be clean enough because the carpets suck up the urine and our kids play on the carpets.I get very frustrated when she walks in the house because i know it's going to be a new thing to complain about
