Default I dont want to leave my dog?

ive no job where Im living and have the chance to join the navy, but the trade im going into is 9 months on top of 6 weeks basic training. I have a dog, who I absolutely adore, know all her wee quirks etc but I have no-one to look after her if I go. My husband will be there for a few of the 10 months, but he's gettin promoted and has to go away for 11 months himself (not at the same time, but there might be an overlap)

what the hell am I gona do? If its only a few weeks overlap we'll pop her into kennels (shes stayed before while we were on hol and loved it) but if its gona be 6 months I duno what to do.

can anyone give me some ideas - gona speak to my folks and see if theyl take her for a few, but their gardens a bit pants and she wont have her own wee room!!

please advice, not a lecture, my hearts broke and im thinking of not joining the navy because of it
thanks for the answers, Im in the UK by the way! might look into the navy taking pets briefly, see where we stand
yeh, we had an accident a few months ago and the navy took the dog in for a few days - Id just forgot in case they maybe have a foster program they recommend

You can contact some rescue groups to try to foster her. I know there are groups here in the US that are established just for the purpose of caring for deployed military personnel. Just start calling the local shelters or rescue groups - call the breed rescue if your dog is a specific breed - and start asking the questions. It is worth trying.

EDIT: I meant the dogs of deployed military!
