getting my cat shaved/groom questions?

so i have a mainecoon cat and i want to get him shaved so he kind of looks like a lion? well how much does something like that cost? and does shaving a cat affect it? hes an inside cat and never goes outside so im not worried about winter and his fur and stuff

You can call your local groomers to get a price but personally I would never shave a cat.

We do a lion cut at our clinic. If the kitty dosen't need to be sedated, its about $95, with sedation and exam (req for sedation) it's about $150. The cut lasts for a few months. I shave my two persians. The mainecoon doesn't mat so he stays long haired. Hope this helps.
