I have a marine water test kit (liquid, API), and I've had live rock and a fish for probably about 3 weeks or more (the fish maybe less though), and then more recently got 5 snails. I think one of them died, and I'm pretty sure the other 4 are alive ( I don't know exactly where two of them are right now). The fish is a pseudochromis diadema (diadema dottyback). I think There is also green hair algae and I think I've overfed the fish a few times (oops). Why haven't the levels really changed. They're all staying around 0 except for ph. Is this normal? What's wrong if there is anything wrong?
I have phosphate reducer and carbon in the filter so any other reasons the phosphates would be high?
I got the live rock from someone who kept it in a tub thing with water and there is filtration from the rocks I think. He said it's very high quality...
The readings are pretty much zero to all except ph (which would be 8.0-8.2, and sometimes looks like 8.2-8.4).
