What was your experience? Are you glad you adopted?

I have a shelter cat, that I adopted 19 yrs. ago! And, yes, I plan to do it again, in the future. These animals have been placed at shelters, for lots of difference reasons. They are begging for a loving home. PLEASE, greatly consider shelter adopting. Thanks!

i have not. i have two dogs and i can't get anymore. my dad is allergic to fur (cats and long haired dogs) so i can't have one but i'm deff adopting one when i move out in like 3 years :D

well i haven't had the experience of adopting but i do volunteer at a no-kill animal shelter near by. i have learned so much from them and about how cruel people can be to animals and how much i love them (well i already knew how much i love them) but anyways i have fallen in love with each and every one of those animals. i would take them all home if i could... :D

It is kind to adopt a shelter animal but, it usually has many problems. It costs more money just to send it to the vet then to just buy one from a puppy store.

Yea, my family and I adopted 2 cats and a dog from the shelter. We never will again.
Our dog was extremely underweight and had fleas really bad.
Both of the cats we adopted were really sick, it ended up costing us $600 ontop of the adoption fee to get the healed up. They still have problems too, one can't breathe out of her nose and the other has a really bad eye. To top it off the people were extremely rude everytime.
Never will adopt from a shelter again.
