View Full Version : Is there a diet or training method someone could suggest to help with a dogs...
...anger issues?
diet could be making him hyper active. It is not always agresion sometime it's a mix of excitement and playfulness as he is a young animal
Because he has already had training its something thats developed it's almost like a fear of children
But he lives with TWO children who he has no issues with i agree training is an option im just looking if there are any other ways aswell im not saying training is out of the question
contact a dog trainer (stay away from 'purely positive' training.
koehler method of dog training
is a great book if you read it from front to finish.
and if you stick with his methods it will go great. good luck
whatever type of agression it is you need to take your dog to a proffesional trainer, any type of aggression you have cannot be cured by people over the internet since we cannot see your dog!
agression is very serious issue and can/will become worse when older!
also: their diet cannot make them 'hyper'
you should look into a high quality food like natural balance
add:
training IS the only option...
dogs are somewhat like kids.
if they are acting out and doing aggressive things..will their diet change REALLY help?
it's a learned behavior that needs to be changed.
the only way is training.
go find a trainer and get some help..it will help in the end.
your dog right now is a liability if he bit someone the dog would be put down and you could get sued.
It depends on what is the basis of his/her anger and how it is shown.
Try to provide him a friendly environment. If that not works then do have an aggressive strategy or better to consult with the specialist. May be he can point out the real reason.

Child aggression needs to be handled through training...preferably a professional trainer...
diet has NOTHING to do with it
