A couple of weeks ago we had a fire next door. Just to be safe we moved the animals out of our house. We noticed my black lab was bleeding from her paw but, at the time we couldn't examine her fully. Couple hours later we were back in our house and I looked at her paw. She had chipped a nail and there was a red sore there. I assume it was the quick but, after a couple of days the nail grew back and the red sore was on the side of the claw.
I'm wondering if her nail is growing back wrong without the quick. Or if the sore is a licking sore because she is constantly licking her back paw. I mean she was alone for a couple hours the night she chipped her nail she may have created a licking sore. What do you think it is?
