Senior food? Other than being made for different aged dogs. Does Senior have less calories? Would it be a good idea to put my 4 year old dog on Senior food for the 2 weeks while im on holiday to help calm her down for hte dog sitter?

No - in fact the last thing he will need is a switch of food, even if you stay with the same brand. Senior dog food usually has a lower protein count, and other alterations in the make up - look on the websites of the various brands A lower protein count can help calm a hyper dog, but at 4, he needs his normal Adult, good quality, dog food. With a change in his routine, the last thing he needs is a switch in diet - and your sitter won't thank you if he has an upset tummy!!

Gracious, you paint a picture of your dog being a wild, uncontrollable problem dog. If you have such a need to calm her for the dog sitter, you should be taking her to obedience classes so you learn how to train her properly to be a canine good citizen -!-

No stick with the adult food. Senior food is for dogs aged 7+. It's specially formulated to support the nutritional needs of a mature dog and protect them against problems such as joint and bone problems, kidney conditions, obesity and deterioration of the skin and coat condition. It's lower in fat than adult food and contains carefully balanced high quality protein and other nutrients that help mature/senoir dogs maintain their ideal body weight, maximise their ability to stay healthy, promote muscle tone and digestive health, and keep them more active throughout their later years.

NO. It will do more harm than good. I am assuming the dog sitter is a friend not a Professional, I dog sit and people send their hiper dogs to me because they know i will wear them out with lots of exercises. Perhaps you could suggest she gives your dog lots of long walks?

No adult is for 7+ senior is for older dogs. Also senior & adult has less
calories. So your dog would not be getiting the right amount of food.
