I see expensive birds going up for free adoption on the internet. Can I trust them?

Hi, over the past few days I have looked into the price of a few types of birds like Hyacinth Macaw, Blue and Gold Macaw, Toco Toucan and Keel Billed Toucan. I wasn't looking to buy any as I dont even have a place for them, I wouldnt be able to afford any of them any way. But I have gone to some websites where people are giving their birds away for free as they cant keep them any more. And I thought to myself if they are being given away for free why not make a large cage and adopt 1 or 2 of these beautiful birds? But even though they are free I still for some reason feel I cant trust them. Here are some website examples:

There was also 2 other people that I e-mailed, one of them was selling 2 breeding pair Keel Billed Toucans for $350 dollars, she said she is selling them because they were her daughter and her daughter died in a drink driving accident for her boy friend. It sounded a bit like a scam. But there was this other one I e-mailed for a breeding pair of Blue and Gold Macaw that were being given away for free. The owner lives in my state and she sounds very concerned for the birds and that one doesn't sound like a scam.

So what do you guys think? Have you ever been envolved in a situation like mine were they are giving free birds away over the internet because they cant keep them any more? Do you think this is a scam? I will post more links later on of free birds being given away over the internet. Also I wont be able to go and personally see the birds as they are too far away.

Thanks for reading and answering :)
But how would they scam you when it is free?
She seems to know a lot about the birds, I am pretty sure it was either a mistake or that's just a word she uses for cute.
Wait, Pocky how is it a scam if they send the birds to me?

Definitely scams.
Hyacinth macaws are incredibly rare in Australia- if there are any breeding pairs at all- they are few and far between- these birds would most likely set you back tens of thousands of dollars- nobody would be giving them away for free.
If you are located in Australia- do not trust any person that offers to send you a bird from overseas.
You cant import birds here.
Many people will offer to send you birds, after you send them ludicrous amounts of money- this is a scam.
The general rule is: if it looks too good to be true- it probably is.
I have seen some amazing scam advertisements over the years- but fre e Hyacinth Macaws takes the cake...
I would not be purchasing a parrot unless I could meet it in person first!

Its ether a scam where they will "send" the birds to you.
Or people who only bought them for 'decoration', to play with them 'sometimes' or to show of to there friends but what they got, I mean what they made. Is a biting, screaming and un-tamed bird, so now they just want it out of there house.

----Edit----
Fist you pay and then they """"send"""" the bird to you. Though, you wait, and wait.. and yet somehow the bird never comes.
