Fish breeders don't tend to make a lot of money. You usually have to sell the young fish pretty cheap or give them away.

I personally breed Angelfish. Once they are mature, usually 8 to 10 months old, then you can breed them. Just having a pair in ideal conditions usually means success.

it depends on the fish you breed, convicts=cheap and very easy

red tail shark=hard and more expensive babies

any hard to find fish also are expensive.you would be able to with homework [-; and you need to keep the water conditions perfect

Well actually you don;t make a profit unless you have a minimum of 50 tanks running.
Say you only have 5 tanks, like me. Then you can sell them but if you think about it your not getting a profit. Your still paying to heat and filter the tanks. Buying at the equipment. Replacing equipment and such. But since you have homework. lol same then you are probably still living with your parents. In that case most likely you don't pay for electricity so you would make a profit.
Hope this helps!
Good Luck!

The first thing about fish breeding is most of the times you are going to lose more money than making it. I breed fish many times and always ended up using more money. As a beginner i would recommend you breed convict cichlids, guppies, mollies, platies, killi fish, angel fish, or cherry shrimps. When you do your research on breeding you're going to realize your going to need several tanks. When my fish frys are finally big enough to sell I would usually ask local fish stores if they would take them in for store credit. Or i would put them up for sale on craiglist. I forgot to menton all the big chain fish stores like petco or petsmart will not take in fish for credit or money. hope i helped =]

i would recomend keeping guppies, platies, mollies, and swordtails. they are freshwater fish. they are all easy to breed and are very pretty. read up on them all first. i am also not old enough to have a petstore, so i watch peoples pets while they are on vacation and pay under $10 a day. you might make a bit on that.
