My dad wants to give dog away?

I have a 7 month year old pup and he means the world to me.
My dad hits her always yelling at him, kicking him and throwing things at him. I always interfere and constantly tell him to stop but he doesn't. It makes me furious to see him do this to him but saddens me that he'll kick him out to the streets. What should I do?

It's sad, I know, but you should give your dog to a NO-KILL animal shelter. He would be better off in a different house. I'm sorry. :(

Sounds like your dog might be treated better with another family. He won't be kicked out to the streets, he'll go to someone who wants him.

If your father has general anger issues, counseling might help, but only if he's wants to go.

That's good that you are turning him over to a shelter. It's going to be hard, but you are a good owner- you want the best for the dog. :)

Take the dog to the shelter.
Unfortunately, you cannot change your dad's behaviour is it's his house so his rules go. I suggest you take him to a shelter where at least he'll get cared for to a reasonable extent and will have the chance of a new home. This is a really sad situation but it is the best thing for your poor dog.
