night time plzzzz? i have just finished reading this book the curious incident and have been asked to write about what i found out for psyhchology. i have made a small start but i am very stuck and have no idea what to put now. i know he has autism but like why does he only want red food?? why won't he let things touch on his plate? why does his mother get so angry sometimes? why won't he let people touch him?? these r just sum of da q.s i av but ne more info or help would b appreciated thankx :)

Autistics are supposed to be frustrated and confused by the world of other human beings, which operates on principles they can't understand (because they can't perceive the various cues involved, or something).

They compensate by imposing arbitrary rules on their own routines, which make sense to them. This keeps their personal worlds comfortable and understandable, for them.

That's what I heard anyway.

He had Asperger's syndrome, not autism if I recall well. Asperger's syndrome people, like autists, have difficulty in interacting with other people so that's why the anti-social attitudes.
