complaint letter regarding barking dogs
I live next door to dogs that bark at all hours, day and night. they are outdoors all the time. The houses are very close together. I just moved here and don't know the neighbor, so I'm trying to write a note to the neighbor.
The dogs also hit my fence and scare my chihuahua. Can anyone help me with writing complaint letter to the neighbor? since i'm not a good writer I think I need a sample letter or you could just write a short letter for me regarding the dogs..it doesn't have to be too formal. just a note to let them know that I'm having problems with their dogs.

If you need to write a complaint letter, I'd talk to the owner first and tell them the problem. If it continues, call the police.

Copy and print the letter that ditbge wrote.That is the best way to start.Be kind,be friendly.Make friends with your neihbor to calm their pets down.If they don't want to make friends then call the police or take the others advice.In Texas it's a $100 fine for loud ,yes,barking dog noises.

I writing to enform you that your /petsdogs are becomeing a hassle to deal with at night. They are also jumping on my fence to get to my dog. Is there any way we can work out a schedule to send our pets outside? Also is it possiable to keep your pets inside at night? I dont want this to become a problem.

Writing a letter might sound like the polite way to approach the problem. However, if you write them a nice letter, and they are jerks, they may begin harassing YOU. And, if the police are ever called, they would automatically assume it was you that complained, and take vengeance. Remember, you have to live next to them. You want their attitude to be pleasant. I would call your county animal control (listed under county offices) and ask what the laws are, and how you can safely make a complaint...Our animal control just approaches homes and says they could hear the dogs barking from the next block, and came to see what the problem was......Perhaps yours does the same.
