My 11 year old cross siamese, Jess, had what appeared to to be mild cat flu about 5 weeks ago. She had a cough, sneezed a bit, rattly chest, lost her appetite for a couple of days but only had runny eyes and a snotty / stuffy nose for a day or so but didn't have any other symptoms - ulcers etc.
She was on antibiotics for a couple of weeks & she appeared to recover well & is eating & drinking. In the last week or so she has the stuffy nose back but isn't sneezing etc & is eating and drinking well. I am wondering if this is normal after cat flu & if it will keep recurring?
She was due to be frontlined while she was ill and I left it in case the medication she was on reacted. Typically she has picked up fleas. I have frontlined her 2 weeks ago & it hasn't touched the fleas so am combing & getting 1 a day if that from her. Could this have brought her snuffly nose back on?!
In between this my other cat died - which has affected her - and I am due to bring a kitten home next week which is stressing me as my Jess cat is not 100% and I don't want to put the kitten in danger although he will be fully vaccinated.
Cats hey!!
Any suggestions much appreciated.
