There seems to be a lot of people who are guessing and getting it wrong.
In babies males will have a bright pinky purple cere and females have a lot of white on their cere. Any white on a cere means female even if there is some blue with the white. Send me a photo and I will help you.

there are ways that you can tell, but they differ from person to person.
the only true way to tell is to have it sexed.

ok ifit's latino or something then u might not be able to tell. but if it's any other color, if the place above the beak is pink then too young. but if it's dark, deep blue then male, if any oter color then female. if ur budgie has markings upm to it's beak then it's still very little. but if it's like half the head then its older, any way, go on the internet, i have 5 budgies and i only know the gender of 3 of them, well the one i'm not sure but only 2 then. hope that helped!

Wait till your birdy is at least six months. Once they're at that age, you can see the cere (skin above the beak, melds with face) will be either blue/purple for male, or a brown/tan/cream/pink for a girl. Also, the males will bob they're heads. Males also tend to be more vocal. Your last resort would be to wait and see if your keet lays eggs. Good luck. :) ;)
