Nobody has thought of this idea yet, and I thougt I would make a fortune....but I cant seem to mate my poodle with my cat successfully. They usually just end up fighting half way through. Any suggestions?

Physically they can mate however, the fetus would have the incorrect amount of chromosomes. dogs have 39 pairs of chromosomes where as a feline has, 19 pairs i think. so it wouldn't be possible.
They obviously have more sense than you.
Cheers Delilah. I needed that
Dogs and cats can't produce offspring if they were successfully bred because the two species are not genetically compatible.

therapy for you, new home for the pets.
nature already allowed for the fact that there are people like you, so animals are designed with a safety. they wont mate outside of their species and even if they did, the sperm and egg will not join.

Great idea. Think of all the cute names you could come up with for this new "breed" of animal.
(Seriously, I hope most people do realize this is a joke.)
