I took my 4 year old shepherd to the vet because he wasn't eating, but his vet noticed he had a heart arrhythmia. I'm almost certain that's what he called it.
He explained it by saying that his heart skipped about one in four beats. At the time, I was more worried about the mass he found in my dog's rear on an X-ray, so I didn't bother asking about the heart condition.
He's a very active dog and goes running a lot. He weighs 29kg, and he's 2ft tall. So he's a bit underweight, but that's most likely due to the meals he skipped.
Apparently it's a lifelong thing, but the vet didn't seemed too concerned about it. Is there a way that this can affect his general health?
