I found what I thought to be a baby dove in my backyard. My dog had it in his mouth but, I saved the bird just in time, no injuries. I placed the bird in a basket and called the animal rescue center and they said just put the bird outside and the mother will continue to feed it. I got some yahoo answers that I shold just leave the bird outside also, so I took a lawn chair and placed the basket on the chair and lifted the small paper towel covering the bird and you wouldnt believe what happened! The bird just flew away. It scared the hell out of me. Now my question is why was this bird not flying in the first place? Do I have mysterious healing powers? LOL! Maybe the bird was in shock.
