Our last vet was so expensive, that I'm a little gun-shy. We have a large black cat, who usually not only is loudly vocal, but has a tremendously loud purr. Sometime last week, I realized that he had only a weird little squeak instead of a meow, and the last couple of days he's virtually voiceless; his purr is also somewhat muted.
He apparently feels fine, has been eating, using the catbox and I assume drinking (since there's cat balls in the litter).
Does anyone have any suggestions of what it might be, and are there any home remedies??
