I was looking into declawing her as she is scratching everything in site. But due to the information I have found out I have chosen against that and have gotten her scratching posts instead. After finding out the facts, she is way to precious to do that to her. I in no way want to hurt her like that or have her go through the pain of that. My sister had it done to her's is the only reason I was considering it, then I thought to look it up on the internet just to get more information about it, OMG how awful. She's just a kitten I'll just wait and get new furniture. Do they grow out of that stage? She is just a couple of months old right now and I figure she scratches because she's still a baby and learning her way around. She is so cute in some of the things she does, and besides I love her way to much to ever put her through such a horrible experience. But I really do need to get her spayed as there are some male cats starting to may there way to our house now. I appreciate any answers you can give me on this question. Thank you.
Thank all of you for your answers. I appreciate everyone of them. She is my baby and I will in no way put her through the kind of pain I have seen described with declawing. Now my husband wants me to have it done and we are actually having that argument now, one that I will win I wll assure you. I'll wait right up to a couple of days of her 6 month mark to have her spayed. You all have been so much help with your ansers. Thank you.
