My mom's friend found the most friendly 2 year old male Lab at the local animal shelter the other day and when she found how long it had been stuck in the shelter, she bought it to find it a good home herself (as she already has 3 dogs in her own house). After meeting the dog, I fell in love and knew it would fit into our home.
My question involves making his move into my house comfortable both for him, and for my Jack Russell. She is a 4 year old female and has lived with us for about 3 years. She is usually fine with other dogs and loves people, but she always wants to be the center of attention.
How do I make sure my new Lab is comfortable moving into a new house while still making sure my Jack doesn't feel like she is being abandoned?
