Hey everyone,
I have a GSD/Malamute mix who is about 4 years old and is awesome but that's besides the point. The point it: we just got him and I noticed he really pants a lot during the day like he is really hot. I give him plenty of water, keep him inside out of the sun and his nose is still wet (he eats and pees/poops fine too). Anyway - I was wondering - is it common to have a dog shaved down a little for the summer? My sisters says that ridiculous but I just want to make sure I am doing everything I can to make him comfortable.
