My 23 yr. old daughter has a cat that is very sickly with feline epilepsy. It has seizures and requires daily meds.

She claims she loves it dearly and will not find it another home. Yet, she doesn't take care of it.

She is living with her b/f and brought her cat to me, the night before last. She said he was having an allergic reaction to it.

She came in at 3 am. She didn't bring a litter box. She brought no meds or food. And promised me she'd be back yesterday to get it. Also, I live in subsidised housing where I am not allowed to have pets. I amdisabled and barely able to take care of my 10 year old. Much less a pet.

Anyway, she did not come back for it yesterday. I called her last night and this morning and she will not return my calls. I feel so sorry for this poor cat. She really is so sick that she'd be better off if she were put down. :(

Anyway, I'm debating what to do. Should I take it to the shelter? As I type this it is hungry and messing the unused bedroom. I don't know what to feed it, and if I feed it something it is unused to it will get diarrhea and mess all over the place. But I realize something has to be done NOW.

I've left a message giving her a couple of hours to get her to pick it up and take care of it, or I'm taking it to the shelter.

What do you think? Is this what I should do?
