...around to play with? My cat currently treats me like I am another cat... we play fight and chase each other around the house. He is very loving with me and playful but I don't always have the time to play with him. He does play on his own when he gets tired of asking me to play with him but I feel bad for him when I am not able to play.
He is an indoor/outdoor cat and hates all the other neighborhood cats that wander into our yard so I don't know if he would behave differently if we had another cat of our own.
Personally I would love to have two cats but I want to be sure my cat would be able to adapt to another cat before I go out and adopt another one.. I wouldn't want to have to return the poor creature to the shelter if it doesn't work out.
Thanks to all who respond... please no comments about how I shouldn't let me cat go outdoors etc... Please just answer the asked question.
PS he is neutered but still fights with other outdoor cats.. not really fights (he does not come home with scratches etc) just the yowling at each other and posturing that cats do...
