I feed my australian cattle dog 1.5-2 cups of beneful each day. not at once but seperately. she also has a treat every morning and night before bed.
but during the night she'll quietly sneak into the kitchen and eat the whole bin of cat food we have for our kitties. we've tried putting the cat food up higher where the dog can't reach it but then only our fat cat makes an effort to go the extra mile for the food.
are there health problems when our dog consistantly eats the frisky hard food? i've heard of kindey and pancreas problems but never any comfirmed diagnosis.
and half australian shepard.
the thing is she knows she's not supposed to do it, during the day she doesnt take one step towards the bin.
and we dont feed the cats and dog at the same time. we Have to leave out cat food during the night or else the cats come yodeling to us while we're sleeping.
she's also half australian cattle dog so she's on the slimmer side, i dont know if that has to do with how much we should be feeding her?
