the thing is, my baby boy Cocoa is a semi flat faced persian, he has teary eyes like the whole time no matter how many times a day i clean his eyes for him... i took him to the vet the day before yesterday just to accompany my girl gucci whom i sent a question about her head bang the other day, anyways, the vet said that she's perfectly fine and then he told me that Cocoa needs some kinda plastic surgery to remove a tiny part of his lower eyelids so that he doesn't get teary eyes....!!!!! i'm totally against it!!!!! but he said that his eyelids are irritating his eyes because they are sort of flipped inwards a bit ( i can't see that)..... the vet says it's not dangerous but i'm terrified as we do not have professional animals plastic surgeons/vets here in Bahrain... the vet is an old man with over 25 years of experience , don't get me wrong, but he himself said that he doesn't have as much experience in animal plastic surgery......
what shall i do???? shall i go for it???? please no rude answers...
i don't know why ??? but i have this feeling that he wants to practice on my baby...... i have that feeling in my guts you know??!!!!
P.S. i don't see anything wrong with my cat... he just have teary eyes, and almost all of the semi-flat faced and flat faced cats do..... he looks normal and noeyelids are flipped inwards or anything... but he's a vet you know... so i thought he might be right......there might be something wrong..
thank you all for the great answers, i will check other vets before going through surgery, and i hope that it is as common here in Bahrain as it is in the USA... i would pay whatever , it's not a matter of money, i just don't want anything to happen to my boy.... thank you so much i really appreciate it...
