At the end of the summer last year I moved my now three year old, litter-trained cat to my girlfriends house. For about three days he wandered about but soon made himself at home and used his litter box without fail. About three months ago though he began urinating in the corners of the basement living room. He would never do it in our presence and continued to use his litter box for defecation and some urination as well. Now it's getting to the point that we find he urinates in a corner at least once a week. He is fixed so I didn't think he would be marking his territory, but I could be wrong. I don't know what to do. We have not yet taken him to the vet about it but I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions or words of wisdom as to how to make him stop doing this habit. Does anyone know what I should do?
