stop? My cat is a 16 pound male. He gets REALLY hyper sometimes. He's also a really big cat. Her cat is smaller, and probably a 8-10 pound female. But when he gets hyper, he goes after her and they fight. This last time, he got her down by the throat, and my mom freaked out. She keeps saying 'Charlie wants dominence and he's going to kill her, I know he is.'
I'm not saying that's not true, but I know he wouldn't kill her, he knows I'd smack him hard and mom would probably have to have him put down.
Anyway, how can I get him to stop? I love this cat with all my heart, and I do NOT want to get rid of him.
Help!
Oh and by the way, we already smack him on the butt and say 'NO! Bad Cat!' when he does it, spraying him with water doesn't help, he likes it, the only solution (at the moment) is to lock him in my room, but the litterbox and food is in the kitchen and dining room.
Plus, the cats are spayed and neutured, and Charlie (male) is 1 and Jolie (female) is 2
He IS declawed.
And I don't hit him hard. Just tap him on the butt. He gets offended though, haha.
And like I said, spraying him does NOTHING, so I've done it maybe twice and stopped.
