My bitch and dog are having some problems. She is just coming into season, and my dog is very interested....problem is that he keeps going for the 'wrong end' so to speak. He takes great interest in her back end, but then goes for her head! At this point the female gets a little annoyed. will nature take its course eventually? I should add that he is a maiden dog. At the moment they are having supervised meetings. Should I just let them run together?
Wow - three answers, none of which answered my question.

Its none of your buisiness why or how or where I am breeding my dogs.......I just have a simple question. If you cant offer advice, don't waste my time reading useless answers.
Pitador mom - surely being a Top Contributer, giving advice on everything to complete strangers is what you do.

Anyone who has a reasonable answer beware, the overzealous and highly opinionated people who don't like the idea of ANYONE doing ANYTHING will give you the thumbs down lol
CKCS lover - 'killing my dogs by breeding them'?? Good god. Please don't have children - you will be at risk of pre-eclampsia, bleeding to death, trauma, infection etc etc. In fact....just get spayed. Be safer all round :P

Breeding dogs can not be compared to 'breeding yourself'. When YOU have a baby you are most likely to have medical help. With someone like you that just wants to breed their dogs for financial gain there is a great risk of you killing your female. You're asking this idiotic question which makes me think you couldn't give a heck about your dogs, you aren't going to go for vet check ups for your female, you won't find out how many puppies she's having so she could very easily end up needing emergency care when she goes into labour, you'd not have a clue what to do and just wait it out, puppies get stuck and they and your female die. Failing to spay your dog also puts her at risk of cancers and Pyometra later on in life so yes you could very easily be killing her.
Congrats on being an irresponsible dog owner.
