Is it bad for your dog to mate with her pup?

breeding mom/ kids/ siblings is bad if you want puppies from them. the pups will have a lot of medical conditions and most if not all of the litter will have physical or mental deformities. Your mother dog will also have pregnancy problems and there's a good chance she could die from the pregnancy or during the birthing process. Its not a good idea at all. That's why breeders don't breed siblings because the pups would all have major problems and momma could easily die.

It's incest. The same complications that occur when a woman gets pregnant by her brother, mental retardation, birth defects, complications during pregnancy/delivery, miscarriage, stillbirth, death for the mother... It's not good. Get one of them fixed or get rid of one of them.

Veryy bad. The only time dogs where ever inbred was back when they were producing the certain breed, to keep certain characteristics. But, now a days inbreeding is totally UNCALLED for. It can lead to aggressive traits in the pups and so on. Dogs do not know better, they will breed with anything that comes into season, unlike wolves who mate for life with one single partner who is not related to them. Yes, it is bad. Dogs should not breed with their littermates or their parents. This is still imbreeding and can cause all kinds of birth deformities and mental issues. Most dog parents won't mate with their offspring in the first place because it is unnatural to them.

Yes. IT's TERRIBLE!!! If she's pregnant (GROSSNESS!!!) the pups will be mutants. You need to get them aborted. It's humane in this situation. I would HATE to do it with my mom!
