I have a pug and she has been in heat for about 1.5 weeks. She has just started standing for my male. I found a stray dog in my dog pen... he jumped over a brick wall. He is about the size of a full grown lab/golden retriever. I was wondering is it possible that she could have been bred. My male pug was busy with her and the stray was just laying down.
My dogs are considered my children, and I do not appreciate some people jumping to conclusions on calling me a bad breeder. My dogs are pets and I only have 3 pugs. I can tell you that I am not a kennel. I do not believe in breeding them in a pen. My dogs get plenty of attention and my dogs are under supervision... I even have an electric fence up that this dog went through.

It's possible but you wouldn't know until the pups were born. And if she was bred by the larger dog, having the pups could very well kill her. IS her life worth risking just to make a few bucks?

PS - She should have been properly supervised throughout her heat cycle. Last i was aware you do not throw two dogs together and leave them to mate. You watch them to prevent any accidents. Your breeding mentor should have told you that...

Yes, a large breed male can mate with a small breed b*tch..

Whether the b*tch could safely whelp the litter is another matter.

DUH, you need to go to a vet and have her aborted.........that large of a litter could kill her.

be ready for a c section if the bigger dog got her.might have to have one if your male pug got her because their prone to c sections.
