View Full Version : can the person that my dog bit still file a complaint?
earlier this month my dog bit someone and i had to quarantine him im just wondering if the person he bit still file a complaint even though i already completed the quarantine order
he had to be quarnatined because he bit a neighbor probably in selfdefence cause ive seen my neighbor almost throw a brick at him but i stopped it
well i had tied him up but when it happened he had gotten loose
Yes of course they can.
I would suggest that you take him to training and socialising classes or see a dog whisperer, that way if they do file a complaint you can prove that you are doing everything in your power to prevent him biting someone else.
I would recommend that when he is out he is muzzled.
He has at least one year to file a complaint. In some states the statue of limitations is 18mo rather than 12mo.

Yes but they probably would have already filed it. Rabies shots are the law in the US so why did he have to be quarantined?
How was your dog able to bite someone? Did you have him on a leash? This is a bad sign and maybe you should take him to training classes.

If they did, it probably wouldn't do anything since it was already quarantined.
