Lost My Cat
>My older cat is losing hair and has sores. Help me please!!?
I'm not too sure about her age, because I got her when she was a grown cat from a guy who kept her as an outside cat. The vet said she was about 14 or 15. She's been losing hair on her tail and low back and she's had sores all over her back. Well I went to pet her just now and the sores are bloody. I am in panic, especially because I have absolutely no money to take her to a vet. Does anyone know what I should do till I have some cash to take her in?
Also, I have 4 other cats that are all younger than her and the youngest one likes to attack her. I read that older cats lose their hair from stress but I don't understand the sores and how they got this bad or bloody. D: Please, someone help me. :'(
I don't know if it makes a difference in this situation but my kitty had an ear hematoma in June and she had to have immediate surgery. Ever since then, she's been going downhill. Our cats do have fleas but they have on flea collars and have been wearing them for about three weeks.
There could be a million answers to a question like this. It could be an allergy she has developed, fleas, cuts from other cats and the list goes on and on.
Issues such as this really need a vet. Maybe your vet (that is if you have a regular vet) will let you make payments.
Does she have fleas? My cat lost the fur on his tail and lower back. The best thing to do about that is to get some flea meds for now. I'm not to sure about the sores. It could be allergies. I would try maybe checking the ingredients in the food that you feed her.
