What happens after a dog neutering psychologically in the dogs brain

towards its owner? We recently had our 7 month Ameskimo / Shitz neutered, and he has immediately stopped chewing or biting and is no ONLY licking toys he once would play with. Did we loose our old "kona" or does it just take time? (how long) -Thank you-
Its only been a few days but he wont even think of clamping down on anything but food. I think the C-Collar may be what's annoying him.

My mother-in-law had her female chihuahua fix and it took her about 2 weeks to get back to her old self but not to worry she did and she has no resentment toward her at all.

His hormone levels at this point are still at more or less the same levels as they were before he got neutered. It will take much longer than a few days for them to adjust, so what you're seeing now are the after effects of the surgery (he's probably not feeling completely frisky yet) and the C-Collar.
