How do I stop loose stools in my puppy?

I have a 13 week old schnauzer/wheaten puppy that has had loose stools for 3-4 weeks. We brought him home when he was 9 weeks old and 2 days later he was admitted to the hospital for kennel cough. he was there for 4 days and ever since, he's had loose stools. we took him back to the vet and had things checked out but stools were normal. he was originally eating diamond puppy food and we slowly transitioned to wellness thinking it might help. the vet recommended purina one so now we're slowly transitioning to it. he's having 7-8 bowel movements/day and every one is loose. any input is appreciated.

I read that rice would be an absorbent media when mixed with his food. I tried it today and will let you know the results. Also, they said blueberries would clear it up, too. Someone suggested cheese because it will bind them up a bit; however I am skeptical of dairy for doggies. We are also using a sprinkle of holistic diarrhea control, but it didn't produce immediate results... the rice seemed the best suggestion I read online!
