Bc everyone i know that fixed their kitty it made them HUGEEE! Including me with my last cat.He was big(:
I don't mind her getting big i like fat cats!
I don't want her being scrawny.
Oh by the way is there anyway to make a cat fluffier??
i know they're born with their hair lengths but just wondering.
also a cheap flea medicine too! ahhaha.

Some cats do gain weight after being spayed or neutered because their metabolisms slow down.

However, remember you are the master of the food dish. If she starts getting big cut her food back. We have one cat (who is spayed) that would be fine being free-fed (leaving a full dish of food out) and we have another cat (spayed female) who very much needs diet management so they get portioned meals twice a day and everybody is healthy and happy and not fat. You are making a wise choice having her spayed. Good job.

Fluffier? hmmm I have not heard of anything to help grow hair. Make sure she is getting plenty of Omega fatty 3 acids (fish oil) in her food to help promote a nice coat.

Cheap flea meds? Well I know the vets I have worked with strongly recommend Frontline. I know it is not cheap ($7-8 a month), but it works really good so I think it pays for itself. I hate fleas!

I have had about a dozen female neuter cats during my life, and not a single one was fat. My brother had a female neuter cat that was rather rotund. Whether your cat gets fat depends more on how she's taken care of (what she's fed and how much exercise she gets).

Two things can make a cat fluffier: regular grooming and flea control. Many cats that have fleas suffer an allergic reaction to the bites and their fur will become thin. A friend of mine got a couple of cats that weren't being taken care of very well, and they had fleas and thin, sparse fur. She started them on flea treatments and within a few months they were beautifully fluffy and had thick, beautiful fur.

Which leads me to your last cheap flea medicine.

It's my experience that you can buy cheap flea medicine that doesn't work very well, or you can buy the real deal (I use Advantage) and it works. "You gets what you pays for." The flea meds that don't work very well have to be cheap because otherwise nobody would buy 'em!

Shop around for Advantage, you can get deals on line sometimes if you buy a 6-months' quantity.

I'll start from last to first.

Cheap Flea Medicines kill cats. Best bet is to get frontline or advantage from the vets office.

How to make a cat fluffier, this also works with how to keep a cat at a healthy weight. The two are related. First, there is a relationship between fixed cats and obesity. There is even a higher relationship between fat cats and low quality cat food. Its the filler and carbohydrates in cat food that usually makes cats fat. Almost every grocery store brand, from friskies to Iams is low quality. Go with a grain free food such as Evo, Natures Variety, Weruva, or By-Natures Organic. Also, low quality cat food affects a cats coat. You can make a cats coat healthier, and maybe fluffier, simply by feeding high quality cat food.

I have two cats, both fixed. My nine year old is a perfect weight, and my 5 year old is slightly chubby, but not obese. She could stand to loose 1/2 pound or so, (which is 5% of her weight) according to the vet. But since she isn't gaining and is very active, I'm not worrying to much about it. My cats get fed a grain free wet cat food.

Also, they stopped puking once I switched. Grain is hard to digest for a cat and it makes them sick.

The only way she will get fat is if she eats too much and moves around less. Just like people!
