Drooling, lazy, tired, and does nothing anymore- my cat? rabies?

Our outside cat is usually adventurous and friendly.
The past few days all he has done is lay around. There is drool (but not foam) all around his mouth, and he barely keeps his eyes . He's not acting like his normal self, but he's still not "gone" He isn't furious. He's just acting very sick...with drool and slightly ed eyes..laying around all the time.
What could be wrong?

Sounds like he's been poisoned. Get him to a vet immediately!

sounds like poisoning get to a vet now . do you have 24 hour emergency clinc nearby? I would not wait until morning.This is a serous problem

It sounds like your cat has ingested something toxic. I am surprised that you have not taken him to a vet yet. He could be dead by morning. Find a clinic and take him in or you are neglecting your pets welfare.
