I get paid tomorrow and am taking him to the vet but I just can't sleep tonight wandering what is wrong with my baby! I have a 6 month old, purebreed miniature dachshund and he has develped a pea sized hard lump on the outer edge of his ear flap. It doesn't bother him unless I mess with it and even then he doesn't react in pain. He just hates being held down. It is the color of his skin (white....kinda pink) he is a short haired black and tan. He plays around with my moms dog next door and they are always nipping at each other. there are no puncture marks though. I am just puzzled because he is such a healthy thing and he is so young. Please tell me from you own personal experience (no rude people please) remember I am headed to the vet in the morning. Tell me what you think.
It is doubtful to me that it is a tick.....since it is under the skin. It isn;t a bb he is an indoor dog and only goes out to walk and play in a tiny fenced area with me close supervison. We live in appartment so there is not much room for him to wander off to. At first I thought that it was a tick but as I said it is completely under the skin and just stuck out from the edge of his ear flap
