>how to get my stolen dog back police won't help?
This neighbor around my parents house has my dog but the police and the animal care and regulation won't do anything to help instead they keep on giving us the run around!!!! we have a police report number on him and everything he is also microchip. when we saw him and we asked the so called owner who had him she was a dumb ass broad i asked her what the dog's name is and she said I don't know it's my sister's dog. What kind of bullshit is that how do you not know your own sisters dog's name. I'm pretty positive he is our dog and what a coincident after almost a year of being missing we see him and it's just around the block from where we live too!!!we even posted fliers around every 5 mile radius and block of our neighborhood but all we got was pranks and people steering us in the wrong directions. Desperately need help!!!
This is your damn pet were talking about, this is mans best friend!! Dress up like a sales man, ring the door bell, push your way into the house and demand your dog back, or your gonna start breaking shit.. Your not a crook, your not a juvenile. You simply want your pet back, so take action and get your pet back.
Borrow a microchip scanner from your local vet. Get a copy (if you don't already have one) of your microchip paperwork with the number and your name and address.
Ask animal control or the police to accompany you to the house and scan the dog. If you can get a scan of the chip, they you can put this to rest -- either it is your dog or it isn't, and if it is you have proof in front of an authority.
Also, consider filing suit against them for return of property in small claims court (in US)
