Can Puppies Get Sick Or Worms From Being Picked Up A Lot

I pick up my puppy a lot to play with it and get it outside to use the bathroom and things of that nature and i keep getting comments of that dog will get sick or get worms is that true
It is 8 weeks and i try and try to give it water but it wont drink it and i dont want it die so i give it milk even though i know i shouldnt
what does xcow milk do to puppies anyway
