I don't think it's the best thing for them, but it's certainly not going to hurt..... small doses of anything is not going to hurt the dog, I would only worry if he gets a hold of a jar of mayo, and licks it clean!! yuck! good luck

Mayonnaise is OK for a dog but not a lot of it because it like us it is bad for us if we have a lot of it.

A top dog handler told me to feed my dog mayo sandwiches on white bread..ICK...so he would gain weight so no mayo is fattening in large amounts but not bad per se.

When I first saw your question, I was concerned that you were trying to feed the dog mayo, which can be fattening...
But now I see what happened...

Mayo is not on the list of foods bad for dogs, so it won't harm him.
I wouldn't recommend purposely feeding a dog mayo, but a little bit on an egg sandwich is absolutely NO problem. Stop worrying ....

One thing I do each Sunday is make a scrambled egg and all my dogs cluster around to be fed small pieces of egg for their Sunday Breakfast. It's a family ritual and they look forward to it and enjoy it greatly. While you CAN feed a dog raw eggs, scrambled eggs are much easier to feed to make it a real treat for them. Eggs are a good thing to feed your dog periodically -!-
