>How can an assistance/service dog help a person with heart disease?
The problems the heart disease causes on a day to day basis is mainly constant fatigue, stopping him from being able to work and keep up with house work. His fatigue gets to the point where he doesn't eat dinner because he's too tired to cook it from working all day (in an office). How could an assitance dog help?
I can see a large dog helping with laundry by pulling the basket to the laundry room so he doesn't have to carry it. Other than that, what can a dog do to help?
Thanks so much!
blubonnetgranny, I've never heard of APS or VA. We live in Canada. I'm sure there are similar services here though. I think the Red Cross does can send someone once or week or whatever is needed to help with chores.
