When is is okay to start grooming my puppy?

My yorkies 3 months and his hair is trying to grow. It gets a little tangled up around his legs and his hair is so uneven. Im use to having dogs with short hair, so this is a 1st for me. I dont mind keeping up with his hair on a daily basis but I wanted to know when was the best time to start, since hes still young. Whens the best time to start? I also want him to have a long coat, since winter is near. Any suggestions?

I have a dog as well, i started grooming it when we she was around 5-6 months. So you should start very soon.

You should have started already - a good tool for a Yorkie is a soft slicker brush.

do this daily and reward with a liver treat for being a good dog while grooming.

Yorkies matt very easily - so it's a good idea to have them professionally groomed as well every 8 weeks.
