How old should your puppy be to get fully groomed?

I have a 6 month old shitzu and she really needs a hair cut. She has all her shots and I really want to take her but I've heard that they have to be a certain age. Is this true? Or can she go now?

I start grooming my pups at about 4 weeks. This teaches the pup that grooming will be a constant, ongoing thing throughout life.

She can go to a groomer now... bring her shot record.

You are overdue already. I have Bichons and with my first one I waited until he was about your pup's age. What a nightmare his first experience was. Make an appointment for a week from now and every day, as often as your schedule allows, handle your dog (exactly the way breeders do when the pups are new) excessively, holding it upside down, playing with its ears and tongue and toes. This may make your dog more acceptable of the groomer's handling.

Hello Groomer here... She's 6 month's old she old enough to go to the groomer.. You do not want to have her hair cut till she blows her puppy coat. because this breed was not meant to clipped having her clipped before she blows her puppy coat can damage her coat texture and all.. You will know when her coat changes...
