a new dog, of any kind.? My great newfoundland passed away at the beginning of 2008 and I cant help but want a new dog, of any kind. But the problem is that my parents won't let me, please help. I really want a dog.

i'm so sorry, that's hard. just tell them that you really miss your dog and all, but you feel that since it's been over a year it's time to move on and get a new dog. but, really, listen to what they have to say! they might have a reasonable reason for not getting one.
