Please help me! my cat has her head stuck in a vase!?
ok, so, my cat always finds where i store the catnip....so i needed to find a different place hide it. and then i though that hiding it in one of my vases would be a good idea, because i didn't think that she would be able to get it.....

....but my plan backfired, now my cat's head is stuck in the vase! and i have tried getting it out....but no luck

i was also thinking i could try to break the vase....but i don't want to hurt her......

what should i do?!?!

Bring out food. I am sure that she will find her way out.

What is the vase made out of? If you can get your cat calm, I would score the vase with a glass cutter, and break it. If any of you neighbors are in EMS they may have a window punch they will let you use to break the vase. Do something quick before it suffocates. Meow

If she got it in she should get it out but she might lose air if you wait too long so i would break it and hope for the best.

Take kitty to the vet and have them help her out of it. Breaking that glass can cause physical damage in many ways. Eyes. Breathing in glass dust. Swallowing glass. Scampering over broken glass while walking away. So many things.

If you haven't already tried greasing the inside of the vase to assist her in getting her head out try that, but don't waste time getting her to a vet if that does not work. At this point I would also be concerned about her not getting enough air. She is probably traumatized by this event and she could start hyperventilating.

Oh gawsh I wish I were there to help you. I do wish you and kitty all my best.

if u take her vet they can break it or u can either way she might flip out more and get glass in her eyes ,if it was me after breaking the bottom off so it can breathe i would take it to vet for the rest and have its eyes checked

Don't break it rashly!!! If you smash it it could shatter into her face. I'd say first make sure she's calm b/c since shes freaking out she'll tense up, which will make it harder. I woudl pet her to calm her and push the vase down (like you are pushing the rest of her head into it). This will make the mouth of the vase on her neck where she's thinner. If you calm her down while holding this vase like this you should have a good shot of being able to slide it over her ears. Then move to crisco, then to breaking via tapping it on something or bringing her to an emergency vet.

Grease her up with butter or Crisco and gently remove her head. Then give her a bath to remove the grease.

Shave your cat's neck, then grease it up with motor oil. Should come off like a charm!

Also, why not trying storing the catnip in the fridge, dumb@ss!?!

You'll have to beak the vase, gently. and then to get it off of your baby, you'll have to break it bit by bit, make sure that you cover your babies head with a wash cloth while you are doing this, and have someone help hold her for you.

And people, don't yell and call her names, I'm sure you've made mistakes too!
